Project Description
A “city without violence” is a national program in Israel aimed to combat all types of violence against city residents, public institutions and, property. The on-going program integrates numerous social organizations and professionals that deal on a routine basis with vandalism, crime, and violence
One of the main components of a “city without violence” is to establish “Safe City” systems throughout the country which will include a city-wide network of various CCTV cameras with Command & Control Center operated by the local Municipality. Some of the city’s request to expend those systems to the “Smart City” system which integrates together, with the security solutions, additional municipality services.
J. Gordon Consulting Engineers Ltd. was chosen by the Israeli Ministry of Public Security to design and supervise the implementation of this important project in 50 Municipalities in Israel. Part of the projects includes design and supervision, other supervision only. Gordon Engineers’ team activity includes the detailed design of the infrastructure for such a system that covers the city, design of wireless radio and fiber optic communication, various CCTV cameras, and Command and Control Centers with surveillance and video recording capabilities.
