Project Description
The National Library of Israel was established in 1892 in order to collect and preserve the cultural treasures of Jewish heritage. It is one of the most famous Jewish libraries throughout the world which holds more than 5 million books and many rare and unique manuscripts and artifacts, which value of some of them is beyond any estimation.
In present, it is located, in an outdated building, within the campus of the University of Jerusalem. With the help of a donation from the “Rothschild Foundation”, a new, ultra-modern structure is being built for it, with a unique architectural character that will commence its operation in 2022.
